Event's Place

The Funchal Swimming Sports Complex is a recently (25th September) inaugurated infraestructure, and cost 25 million euros. The building has 19500 sqm of construction area, distributed by five levels, including a basement.  The complex has four pools: one olympic (50 meters), one diving pool, one 25 meters pool and a learning tank for children, that allow the practice and competition of all sportive swimming disciplines. The 50 meters pool is prepared with a removable platform, that allows the practice of other competitions,  water polo, synchronized swimming and others. The building is prepared to receive disabled people, not only regarding the practitioners, but also the visitors. This structure is situated near Madeira University, and also near of the Centre of Congresses and Library and Regional Public Archive.
